FAMILY OUTREACH WORKER

GRADE F £25,353 - £28,215 FTE (pay award pending) pro rata

 

18 hours a week 52 weeks per annum (1 year fixed contract from September 2020)

Underhill Children’s Centre is part of the extended services of Underhill School. The services it delivers are targeted to reflect the needs of the local community and are provided on the grounds of school and in the immediate community. The school and children’s centre encourages a fun learning environment that is safe and inspires its community in a respectful and nurturing atmosphere.

 

Family Outreach Officers provide outreach services within the East Locality. The role is responsible for ensuring that families with young children are identified, encouraging access to children’s centre and related services. Also to identify, support to families that need Early Help, referring to targeted services or other interventions.

 

Applicants must hold a professional qualification in early years or have experience working with families and have knowledge and understanding of parenting programmes. They will be responsible for delivering a variety of community groups and supporting families within their own homes and in the community.

 

The Children’s Centre is recruiting a family outreach worker to work 18 hours a week 52 weeks per annum. This is a non-term time one year fixed term contract working between the hours of 8.00 am and 5.00 pm. They must be a car driver and have the use of a car.
