Salary £22779 - £24030 pro-rata

 

Underhill School and Children’s Centre is a welcoming school community, where there is a strong emphasis on caring for, supporting and listening to pupils. The facilities include two halls, a swimming pool and a large field which are hired out to a wide range of organisations/individuals for various activities on a regular basis as well as being used out of hours for school events.

 

We are looking for someone to assist our Caretaker, on a flexible basis, with the running of the school during those lettings and during annual leave periods.

 

Successful candidates will have good practical and communication skills.  This varied role requires being  able to work as part of a team and a flexible attitude. If you are able to offer this flexibility, then we would like to hear from you.

RECEPTIONIST (36 hours per week)

Temporary post to cover maternity leave from January 2021)

Grade B (£21,795 - £22,995 (pro-rata) - term time only (39 weeks))

 

We are seeking to recruit an approachable, enthusiastic and committed Receptionist from January 2021, to cover a Maternity Leave, to work in our busy primary school and Children’s Centre.

You will play a central role in the school, being the first person that stakeholders come in contact with, either in person, via telephone or email. As such, you will very much be the face of our school and will play a critical part in the ongoing success of our community.

 

The successful candidate will have a professional manner and be able to multi-task on a range of activities. In addition, working in partnership with the other members of the Administrative team, the post holder will have a range of other duties including parental, visitor and staff contact as well as working with various IT systems such as communication, information and payment systems. The post is term time only, working 36 hours per week. 

The successful candidate will:

  • have a friendly, welcoming persona

  • be an organised and self-motivated team member, able to prioritise and multi-task

  • have excellent communication skills

  • have strong IT skills

  • enjoy working with children

 

You will have experience in an office, and will be able to demonstrate experience of managing your workload in a busy office environment. A working knowledge of school information systems such as RM Integris would be beneficial. However, full training will be provided for the successful candidate. You should have excellent communication skills, and a high level of personal effectiveness, including strong organisational skills.

 

This is a temporary post from January 2021 for up to one year.
